Keynote:
James Hamilton’s two-part interactive keynote awakens skills you forget you had and equips you with a few you didn’t know you needed! Participants are guided through a simple but powerful process to share a meaningful personal story in their own words. James uses this process to explore ways storytelling can improve organizational culture, development, and community relations to create stronger and healthier organizations.
James Hamilton is a writer, comedian, and storyteller based in Brooklyn, NY. In 2018, he won The Moth’s New York City GrandSLAM Championship, a storytelling competition that promotes the art and craft of storytelling to honor and celebrate diversity and the commonality of the human experience. James is currently a show writer for Vice News’ television programs and has also worked as a storyteller with Dear World, an international organization that has collected over 125,000 stories with their signature ink-on-skin style of visual storytelling. James has delivered workshops and keynotes around the globe to help individuals tell their own stories in their own words. He has partnered with organizations and teams such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Accenture, and the Duke Men’s Basketball Team to use storytelling as a way to unlock potential, foster connection, and equip individuals to do purposeful work. James has performed in many of North America’s top comedy festivals and has had work featured on NBC, CNN, and the Brooklyn Podcast Festival.
